A hist\u00f3ria de Balsas come\u00e7a pelo ano de 1840, quando uma regi\u00e3o foi formada por vaqueiros nordestinos que, fugindo da seca, cruzaram o Rio Parna\u00edba e descobriram as terras do Maranh\u00e3o, montando uma estrutura na Passagem dos Cara\u00edbas \u00e0s margens do Rio Balsas. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Os balsenses se orgulham de ter em sua origem uma hist\u00f3ria de conquistas e um munic\u00edpio marcado por muita beleza e import\u00e2ncia. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Do munic\u00edpio que nasceu \u00e0s margens do Rio Balsas com pequenos com\u00e9rcios onde se vendia principalmente fumo, cacha\u00e7a, rapadura, sal e querosene o local transformou-se numa terra de prosperidade, indicada como p\u00f3lo de desenvolvimento no Maranh\u00e3o. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

A CDL Balsas nasceu a partir da expans\u00e3o e fortalecimento do grupo Mateus, que \u00e9 um dos mais pr\u00f3speros empreendimentos empresariais do estado e constatou a necessidade de se implantar no munic\u00edpio mecanismos de garantia para as transa\u00e7\u00f5es comerciais. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Em abril de 1995 os lojistas locais fundaram a CDL que inicialmente funcionou em uma sala cedida pelo Rotary com uma pequena estrutura no Servi\u00e7o de Prote\u00e7\u00e3o ao Cr\u00e9dito. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Toda a trajet\u00f3ria da entidade \u00e9 pautada por um trabalho de conscientiza\u00e7\u00e3o do lojista e pela busca da qualidade e seguran\u00e7a nas opera\u00e7\u00f5es que envolvem concess\u00e3o de cr\u00e9dito. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Do n\u00famero inicial de 12 lojistas, a entidade conta atualmente com 222 associados que desfrutam de diversos servi\u00e7os, como eventos de treinamento e capacita\u00e7\u00e3o profissional, campanhas promocionais de vendas e atendimento personalizado do corpo funcional. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
